Although overall U.S. mortgage application approvals are near record highs - just one in ten applicants is denied nationally - there are some places where it’s much harder to get a home loan. According to LendingTree, Miami ranked number one on the list of cities where borrowers are most likely to be denied a mortgage loan, with an 11.6% denial rate. Florida cities hold the top four spots, with Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville next on the list. Minneapolis, Minnesota is the place where borrowers are most likely to be approved for home loans, with a denial rate of just 4.6%.
